For EQ2 there was a great tool called EQ2Map. You ran this before starting EQ2 and it would download XML documents which would over lay the ingame map. When you hover over different colored dots you would get told what it is. Now this would gave you Locations, Monsters (with level), Quets Spots and such like. Would be nice to get something like that.
